The Aquarius project was a complete two tower and deck restoration which was required to complete the building recertification. A Broward and Miami-Dade County requirement. The project included the demolition and replacement of all tower balconies. The most aesthetically pleasing part of the tower project was along with the new balconies; we took the opportunity to reinforce the balconies and replaced their outdated picket rails with all new glass rails by POMA.

The pool deck adjacent to the beach was deteriorated beyond repair; much of the deck required full demolition and replaced in its entirety. We replaced steel in the deck with fiberglass reinforcement to ensure the deck would not deteriorate again. We demolished the existing pool which had a considerable amount of damage to the structure and replaced with a new zero entry pool with swimming lanes. Because the new pool shape was much different than the original, we built the new pool from the ground up, with 96 helical piles, pile caps, new columns, beams, shell, and zero edge perimeter gutter system.

The new board had the courage to stand up to many of their members who understandably did not want to go through an assessment of this magnitude.
The result was a building that’s property values immediately increased even beyond what the market was seeing at the time.
